Equipment
If you need any or all supplies to get you towing
in the proper way,
I can easily help you: Even as far as to demo exactly how it is done. I have knowledge of the best sleds . How to
rig them. Why and where to use a quick release carabiner How to strap the seats . I have some great ideas for your wave runner
so it can out-perform all others and be more
suitable for low-end tork in the white water
which is a must in our sport . If you can't go anywhere in the foam of the
left over white water, you are a sitting duck
waiting to get washed in on the reef or some
beach. So do all you can to avoid that situation. A good vest is a must. And maybe an airtank with a mouth piece that
I have designed...quite an evolutionary piece
of equipment. Where and how do you put swim fins on you and
or your boat. There are some necessary tools that you should
keep on onboard . As far as apparel, I do not recommend helmets,
but I do think that adding heel straps to the
foot-arch straps on the tow board, is a good
idea. A little tricky to get out of, but with
a little practice, can easily happen. We can also help you with ropes, specific knots,
and correct handles .
We can also explain why lengths of the ropes
are so important, where to put your knots, and
why.
Tow Boards
Randy Sleigh Boards : This shaper shapes for
Mike and Derek Ho for years, also Marvin Foster.
He makes all of my surfboards.
He is experimenting with some of the fastest
tow board designs and fin setups.
John Carper Boards : John makes boards for Peter
Mel...need I say more? He makes boards for any
size surf, any weights or tails. I can help you
figure out what can be best for you.
Brewer Tow Boards : are great. I own several
and none have ever let me down. There are also
several sizes, weights and thicknesses to choose
from.
Brewer even makes Balsa boards.
Kimo
Fernie : Kimo shaped for years for Town and
Country. He makes mostly boat hulls now but
I can convince him into a couple of boards every
now and then. And let me tell you: They're Magical!
He makes the fastest tow boards…and his medium
size wave tow boards are loose and responsive.
And then there's Ken Bradshaw : He rocks! Period.
I always try his tow boards before the end of
my sessions and I am so stoked I do. I can guarantee
that if you buy one of his boards, you'll make
that section.
And then there is a new boards in the works:
Stronger,
lighter, heavier, whatever…but definitely
longer lasting.
Add
a mini foil with 2 fins behind the foil if
you could take your mind there… you can take
the boards there. Channel Islands and Brewer
are working with this new idea. I can't say anymore
about it.
E-mail me and may have some new news about it
all.
